Bottom-Up/Top-Down Leadership: Contradiction or Hidden Phenomenon.
The article presents a case study examining the ways in which college staff and their efforts at grassroots leadership to organize institutional change converge with people in university administration who have the power to implement change. The article looks at various efforts at change, including curriculum changes related to interdisciplinary approaches in teaching science, an initiative related to diversity at a community college, and an initiative related to science pedagogy.
